As with many other companies, the past six months presented new challenges for Arrotek. With the threat of COVID-19 came a responsibility to help protect the health of our staff while also contributing to the national effort to slow the spread of infection. We had to do this while continuing to serve our customers and maintaining our business.
Our ability to achieve these goals was in large part down to the backing of our staff. We found new ways to work together, often remotely, balancing the needs of the business with the health and welfare of each member of our team.
To acknowledge the effort of our staff during this challenging period, the senior management in Arrotek gave each employee a hamper as a gift.
All the products in the hamper were sourced from local Sligo businesses. Examples include:
- Restaurant vouchers for Flipside/Jalan Jalan
- Handwash/hand cream from Voya
- Clos Chocolates from Le Fournil
- Coffee/tea, marmalade, biscuits, and chocolate from Kate’s Kitchen
Mark Pugh, Director at Arrotek, said: “While the COVID-19 situation is not over yet, we wanted to give our employees a small gift in recognition of their support and effort in these most unusual of times.”
Tracey Kelly, HR Manager at Arrotek, said: “During this entire period, life was not normal for our staff as everyone was impacted by COVID-19 and the lockdown both personally and in how we do our jobs. However, by working together, we kept it business as normal here at Arrotek, and we’d like to say thank you again to everyone on the team.”
