We are currently recruiting for the position of Facilities Technician.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position will include the following:

  • Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs across the site (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general fabric).
  • Ownership of Building Security Access and Alarms.
  • POC for TFS group, invoicing, requests etc.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to minimise downtime or disruption.
  • Installing new equipment in accordance with engineering and safety standards, performing Installation Qualifications (IQs) to ensure compliance and functionality.
  • Interpreting equipment manuals to extract critical operational and maintenance data. This information is used to develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) programs that support equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Support external contractors and ensure works are completed to agreed standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job sheets via a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), if applicable.
  • Monitor building systems and report any anomalies or potential issues to the Engineering Supervisor.
  • Assist in ensuring health & safety standards are upheld across the facility, including supporting risk assessments and safety checks.
  • Carry out groundskeeping and seasonal tasks as required (e.g. gritting, minor landscaping).
  • Support office and facility moves, fit-outs, and other operational changes.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and organisational policies.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager/Supervisor.

Person Specification

Candidates likely to be called for interview will have most or all of the following:

  • Proven experience in a facilities, maintenance, or technician role (3+ years).
  • Recognised trade qualification or strong hands-on experience in one or more of the following: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of health & safety legislation (e.g. manual handling, safe systems of work).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Full driving licence (role may involve travel between sites).Experience with process validations/FMEA’s and protocols not essential but is advantageous.

This is a full-time position on a Permanent contract with a view to starting as soon as possible.
