We are currently recruiting for the position of Assembly Team Leader.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position will include the following (but not limited to):
- The Assembly Team Leader will be responsible for his/her area and be accountable for all aspects of the team’s performance.
- To organise, task manage, plan and prioritise.
- Headcount management.
- To provide training – cross training, multi-skilling, job-rotation.
- To conduct recruitment and induction.
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements are maintained.
- Production planning to meet customer demands.
- To guide others to problem solve by teaching/ advising/ guidance.
- Conduct trouble shooting support and root cause analysis.
- To provide hands-on support.
- Ensure good communication is maintained with direct reports as well as senior management.
- Ensuring progress is monitored, problems and solutions are both identified and recorded.
- Inventory control.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Deputise for Production Manager when necessary.
- Other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager.
Person Specification:
Candidates likely to be called for interview will have most or all of the following:
- Ideally should have 2-5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong people leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Knowledge and experience of materials/ inventory planning systems is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Skilled in the use of lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, Waste elimination, Green Belt is advantageous.
- The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
Position Details
This is a full-time position on a Permanent contract with a view to starting asap.
