Examples include the Centers for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).<\/p>\n<p>Active funding programs can be searched using a range of filters to identify relevant opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>All the funding opportunities posted to the NIH Grants and Funding website are also posted to the U.S. government\u2019s central portal of funding opportunities, <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.gov\/\">Grants.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>SBIR and STTR<\/h3>\n<p>The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbir.gov\/\">awarded by America&#8217;s Seed Fund<\/a> and coordinated by the Small Business Administration (SBA).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbir.gov\/about\">SBIR and STTR are highly competitive federal grants<\/a> for businesses in early-stage R&amp;D. The grants are not specifically aimed at the MedTech sector, but they have historically been one of the largest sources of non-dilutive early-stage funding for medical device companies (non-dilutive funding is access to funds without the need to give up an equity stake in the company).<\/p>\n<p>The funding available through the SBIR and STTR programs comes from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbir.gov\/participating-agencies\">participating federal agencies<\/a>, including Health and Human Services (HHS) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NIH has also been a participating federal agency in the past.
