As we head into Q4, we look back on what has been an exciting and busy period for Arrotek over the past year. Here are the highlights: <\/p>\n\n

Expanding Our Business<\/h2>\n\n

2024 started with the announcement that Arrotek co-founder Mark Pugh had been appointed the CEO of Theragenics Corporation<\/a>, the parent company of Arrotek. The Theragenics Corporation, based in the US, specializes in minimally invasive medical devices and serves a wide range of customers in the medical device and health-care industries. <\/p>\n\n

We also re-branded the former NeedleTech brand as Arrotek<\/a>, strengthening our offering and cementing our position in the market with two centers of excellence on two continents \u2013 our Center of Excellence for Metals Manufacturing in Boston in the US and our plastics center of excellence in Ireland. We launched a new and improved website<\/a> as part of the expansion of the Arrotek brand. <\/p>\n\n

New strategic partnerships have been developed during 2024, including with Nano4Imaging. Our facility in the USA will take over final production of Nano4Imaging\u2019s MRI-compatible guide-wire<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

Our parent company Theragenics also started work on a new $10 million manufacturing facility in Costa Rica<\/a> that will further enhance Arrotek’s capabilities and the services we can offer to medical device customers in the US, Europe, and around the world.<\/p>\n\n

Facility Investments<\/h2>\n\n

Over the past year, we have invested in the capabilities of both our US and Irish facilities. This includes opening two new clean-rooms in our facility in Boston<\/a> \u2013 an ISO Class 7 clean-room and an ISO Class 6 clean-room. <\/p>\n\n

We also opened a fourth clean-room in our Irish manufacturing facility in Sligo<\/a>. This new ISO Class 7 clean-room is our largest in Europe at 300 sqm. <\/p>\n\n

In addition to opening new clean-rooms, we also built a new 90 sqm packing area in our Irish facility and invested in our rapid prototyping capabilities in the US<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Awards<\/h2>\n\n

This year so far has been another year of awards for Arrotek. We were named Life Sciences Company of the Year (Medium)<\/a> at the Life Sciences Industry Awards in Ireland and Best Medical Device Development Company \u2013 Northwest Ireland<\/a> at the 2024 Irish Enterprise Awards. <\/p>\n\n

An Exciting Year and Ambitious Plans for the Future<\/h2>\n\n

Arrotek’s Global Sales Manager said: \u201cWhat we have achieved as a company over the past year has been phenomenal, the expansion of the Arrotek brand in the US, and the massive investments the company has made in Ireland, the US, and Costa Rica to deliver on the needs of our ever-growing customer base.<\/p>\n\n
